UC and ME – flare fear #3

For anyone who has UC, Chrons or any kind of auto immune disease, the relief of reaching ‘remission’ is soon dampened with the sheer terror of having another ‘flare’ or relapse.

For me (6 months into first remission), it still feels like there is a huge elephant in the room – watching me with his beady little eyes.

Weekends in Brighton

The first time I went to Brighton, it was really by mistake. My boyfriend and I had missed our flight to Barcelona by 15 minutes, and after crying my eyes out at the check in desk for some considerable time…we rebooked for the next morning and decided to hop the train to Brighton for the day, rather than feeling sorry for ourselves.

I’ve never missed a flight again, but I’ve always had a fondness for Brighton and have been back several times since. It is a place that makes me happy and I hope after reading this you’ll see why.

Ripped Girls – gone mainstream

About five years ago if you’d told me some of my mates would be entering body-building competitions this summer – I’d have probably laughed! Not because body-building is something embarrassing or weird, but because I couldn’t have envisaged any of my girly-gals getting into it. It just wasn’t a mainstream thing back then.

However, in the last few years there seems to be an increasing number of women who not only want to get ripped, but flex their muscles on the big stage too. ‘Strong not Skinny’ has gone global, and lots of us seem to want a slice of the protein pie!

What’s Hypno actually like?

Sibling rivalry – the struggle is real

Except we’re no longer jealous that we weren’t the first to get a mobile phone or stay up past 10pm..we’re now jealous of salaries, relationships, friendships, social lives and the race to the top of the property ladder!
